Amy Smart

Amy Smart was an American model and actress. Growing up and being raised in California, USA, she made her debut in modeling in Italy. She made her acting debut in 1996, when she appeared in the TV film "Her Costly Affair". After that, she was a star in a role of minor importance in the movie "Starship Troopers", she struggled very hard. Amy had a difficult time making the shift from modeling to acting, as models were typically not thought of as actors. Models were usually given small and unimportant parts. Amy did not give up. She was able to surpass her previous roles in the 1970's series as well as the movie Varsity Blues. Amy then stepped into main roles for the romantic comedy film 'Just Friends in which she was also joined by Ryan Reynolds. It was a significant film at the box office and Amy discovered the success she'd been striving for for over 10 years. Amy continued working in major movies, including the "Crank" with Jason Statham.
