Anna Chlumsky
Anna Chlumsky was a highly acclaimed American actor who gained fame for her roles in movies such as "My Girl" and its follow-up "My Girl 2". The lead roles she played continued to delight the audience in movies such as "Trading Mom" as well as "Gold Diggers: the Secret of Bear Mountain". There were awards she won for her work in these films early in her career. The young woman, who felt she was left out of her group at school, during film shoots became disengaged from the show business in the years following her graduation. Her interest in the acting business waned and she shifted her focus to her schooling. While she had always wanted to become the food writer however, she was eventually employed as a fact-checker in Zagat's guides to restaurants. Her next position as an editor's assistant at HarperCollins was a sour experience for her. As a result of advice from her agent, she made the decision to return to acting. She attended acting classes to increase the skills she had developed. Her first role was Liza in the show "In the Loop" as well as began to appear in Off Broadway productions. She is often unsure of about how her life could be differently if she had not taken the time off from acting. It's a good thing she took the time to do it.
